I do private, semi-private and group lessons. During our "Play and Train" days, we have larger groups that are able to socialize and train with distractions.

I studied for and received my teaching certification and trained puppies and adolescent dogs at Canine Companions in Essex, Vermont in 2003. I passed my AKC Evaluator test in 2025. I have worked with 100's of dogs in the past 23 years and continue to learn every day.

Absolutely! If your dog lives within a 5 mile radius of 63117, I am happy to pick up/drop off your dog. If you live outside that radius, there is a small charge for pick up and drop off. If you're outside 20 miles, we will discuss transportation options.

Walks and Check-ins are done in Frontenac, Town and Country, Ladue, Richmond Heights, Brentwood, Clayton, Creve Coeur, University City, and Olivette. I will travel further for Puppy Consultations, private training and FamilyTraining.

I require all vaccinations to be up to date based on your Vet’s recommendations. I do require that Kennel Cough be administered every six months. Dogs that attend Play and Train or stay in any of our STLWags homes are required to have a fecal test for parasites including giardia.

Every dog should have appropriate exercise every day, depending on their age and size. Walks are important to exercise your pet's body and mind.

I follow the Karen Pryor method. I achieve effective and humane results using a clicker and positive reinforcement.

Yes, depending on how long you are away from your dog for the day, I am happy to visit more than once a day. If you would like to schedule one walk and one check in, or two walks, I am happy to accommodate whatever you think is best for your dog.

Some clients like to give me an extra key, while others use a hide-a-key, and others create unique passcodes on their automated keypads. I will keep your key or code safe and make sure that your house is left secure and just as you left it.

I will take your dog for a quick walk to go to the bathroom, give them some one on one attention, and get some fresh air. I will take your dog inside and check to make sure that they have water and then lock up, leaving a happy dog.

I am booking out fairly far in advance, so the earlier you can book, the better. I will try to accommodate last minute reservations, especially for repeat pups.

Play and Train is located in the STLWags Training Center in Rock Hill, MO. We create groups that safely socialize, play and train. We work on Basic Manners through the session with distractions. Some of the skills that we work on are Sit, stay, Place, loose leash walking, recall, waiting at the door, quiet, attention, slowly on steps, lots of patience and taking turns. We have pools for the dogs to splash in, agility equipment, and lots of fun!

My goal is to make sure that your dog feels right at home. We will work together to figure out the best spot for your dog to sleep. I have various sizes of crates, dog beds, couches, and carpets. The trial night is to make sure that we find out if your dog will sleep and be comfortable in one of these options.
